7 Simple Tricks To Rocking Your Robot Vacuum Deals

Top Black Friday and Cyber Monday Robot Vacuum Deals

This is your chance to own a robotic vacuum. CNET’s best-rated models will be on sale during Black Friday and Cyber Monday, with discounts up to 57%.

The Roborock Q7 Max offers strong pressure and smart mapping using app-based no-go zones, and its 180-minute runtime is impressive. It also automatically replenishes and self-empties its water tank.

1. Roomba j7+ from iRobot

The Roomba j7+ is iRobot’s most intelligent robot vacuum to date. Its biggest innovation is its camera-based obstacle-detection technology. This uses AI to identify objects such as charging cords and shoes. It’s the first robot to send you pictures of the objects that it encounters, so you can tell the robot to avoid it.

The Combo J7+ is the most efficient robot mop we’ve ever tested. It cleans up dirt and spills quickly, leaving no trace that it was there. It’s easy to control using the iRobot Home app which allows you to schedule cleaning times and set up Keep Out Zones to ensure it doesn’t vacuum areas you do not want it to. It’s compatible with Alexa or Google Assistant so you can start and stop it by voice.

The design is also superior to the other models. It has a sleek, top piece that looks like a toy rather than a loud and obnoxious robot. And the Clean Base Automatic Dirt Disposal System self-empties, which is great for reducing your cleanup time.

In our tests, we found that the j7+ quickly took away dirt, dust, and hair from pets. Its counter-rotating rubber brush rolls kept the debris in one place instead of scattering it all over the floor. It was able capture small pieces of gravel, sand, and even a little grit. Most robots can’t achieve this feat. And it did all this without getting tangled up in our pet’s hair shedding.

Although it’s not as efficient as the $1,217 Roomba s9+ Self-Emptying Vacuum, and it’s not able to clean stairs, the j7+ is still an excellent choice for those who need mopping and a vac in their home. It’s not costly and the iRobot App makes it simple to use.

While the iRobot Home app is very user-friendly, we’ve found it to be less reliable than other applications that use robotic cleaners. It can take some time to download updates and it is sometimes difficult to tell whether they’re working until you actually see them in action.

2. Roborock Q5+

When you’re looking for an automated vacuum cleaner that can do more than just clean floors, the best choice is probably hybrid. These machines are equipped with a water tank so they can mop and vacuum simultaneously. These bots also have various additional features, including smart mapping, small object avoidance, and the ability to wash and re-dry mopping pads. They’re costly at retail, but they often come down in price on Black Friday or Cyber Monday.

Roborock is one of our top robot vacuums, and the Q5+ is no exception. This is the cheapest model in their auto-empty line. While it may not include some of the expensive features (like no-go zones and multi-story memories), it’s still a great choice if you are willing to make a few compromises to save a few dollars.

The Q5+ is extremely gentle when it comes down to obstacles like tables and walls. This makes it a great choice for homes that have a lot of furniture. It’s also extremely thorough when it comes to cleaning up dust bunnies, which is a place where cheaper robot vacuums be a bit sloppy. The technology for navigation in the Q5+ is excellent as well, with only a few misses in corners and along walls.

The Q5+, as with other Roborock products can be controlled with just a few buttons on the device or via the Roborock App. The app lets you start and stop cleanings, set schedules, create virtual barriers and no-go zones, and adjust your home map or change the labeling of rooms.

If you opt for the Q5+ it comes with a new auto-emptying dock, designed to make the robot easier to maintain. It requires a screwdriver for install, but once installed, the process of emptying the bin is easy. It also has an impressive LCD display, which is nice to have when setting up schedules or adjusting settings. This feature isn’t necessary for everyone, but it can help you effectively keep the robot’s maintenance schedules.

3. Narwal Freo X Ultra

The Freo X Ultra robot vacuum and mop is a smart, well-rounded vacuum and mop. It’s capable of both mopping and vacuuming. Its design and function are among the best on the market however, it’s also expensive.

The base station looks nice and is easily hidden when not in use, and its size is quite compact. The primary selling point of the station is that it automates many tasks, chores and functions that other robots have to leave to you. It can store dirty and clean water, and then electrolyze and heat the water. Many other robots require this.

Its vacuuming capabilities are impressive as well. It’s the only robot vacuum I’ve used that has done an excellent job of removing dirt from floors that aren’t. It’s also not as loud as the costly Roomba 900 series or iRobot 980.

The Freo X Ultra is not free of faults, especially when it comes navigation. Its LiDAR sensors and laser sensors aren’t as reliable as other robovacs. This means that it could get stuck or confused in certain areas or rooms in the home. It’s not able navigate stairs as well as some competitors, for instance and it doesn’t have a dock that lets you to set up a dedicated cleaning zone for carpets with plush padding.

Although it doesn’t provide as many in terms of cleaning options available in its app or as many shortcuts within the app like other robovacs the Freo X Ultra is still a top choice for those looking for a comprehensive robot vacuum and mop that’s worth the premium price tag.

But if you want to save some money, or just don’t care about the limitations of this robotic There are many other options available with a wide range of eufy models priced considerably less. The Eufy Qrevo Curv, for example, is cheaper and offers an identical experience on the app with more features like the ability to climb stairs, a full-function dock, and better overall vacuuming performance on bare floors as well as high and low-pile carpets.

4. eufy RoboVac G30

eufy is an Anker company with an established track record of making robot vacuums that have the right balance of performance, features, and price. The G30 Hybrid is no different, offering a capable cleaning of hard floors as well as carpets and mopping function too at an affordable price point. It’s easy to setup by snapping one of the side brushes on, turn it on, and plug it into the charging dock. The app will guide you through the steps needed to connect your G30 to your Wi-Fi. The dock must be located close to an outlet that has enough space to move.

The G30 is a tiny device, measuring 2.85 inches in height, which means it will be tucked away under couches and low-clearance pieces furniture. Its design is less ostentatious in comparison to other models. It is sleek with a black finish with three buttons that are physical for Auto Cleaning start/pause (which scrubs the area in a spiral pattern for two minutes), Recharge, and Spot Cleaner. It is also possible to connect the G30 to Amazon Alexa or Google Home for voice commands to perform unscheduled cleaning.

The primary feature that distinguishes the G30 above the rest is the method it cleans. It uses a built-in map to create an image of the non-movable objects that are in its path, remembering what it’s already cleaned and where it can’t access. When it’s time to recharge, it returns to its base and resumes cleaning where it left off.

The sleek G30 has its flaws however. The iRobot Roomba is more durable and has lower monthly costs. It charges faster, offers the same battery life and performs better on unfinished carpet or floors with low pile. It has a bigger dust bin that does not require the same amount of emptying. It also has boundary strips that keep it from certain areas. The G30 is cheaper and easier to maintain. Its smaller canister means it doesn’t need to be emptied as frequently and has less trouble with bulky materials such as cereal.
